Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT is an evidence-based approach to working with psychological distress that places emotions as the centre of the therapeutic process. EFT focuses on working collaboratively with clients to change their emotional experience - you have to feel it to heal it! The primary developer of EFT is Dr Leslie Greenberg, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at York University, Toronto.
